A very unusual hybrid imitation

Jovian, 363-364. Centenionalis (Bronze, 14 mm, 1.55 g, 7 h), a contemporary imitation. Irregular mint, after 364. D N IOVIA-NVS AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed but of Jovian to left. Rev. SMNA She-wolf standing left, suckling the twins Romulus and Remus; above, two stars. Cf. RIC VIII (Constantinople) 178-9 (for prototype of obverse) and RIC VII 195 (for prototype of reverse). A very unusual hybrid imitation. Slightly rough and with some deposits, otherwise, about very fine.

This unusual hybrid imitation combines an obverse of Jovian with a commemorative Urbs Roma reverse struck under Constantine I.
